I am a Master’s student at KAIST’s Music and Audio Computing Lab, where I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Juhan Nam. My research is dedicated to bridging the gap between machines and music.
I am mainly interested in:
-
Developing audio language models that understand the structural, semantic, and affective content of music.
-
Investigating the integration of cultural contexts in music into AI models to enhance personalization.
-
Modeling perceptual mechanisms of musical emotion to align machine understanding with human auditory experience.
My ultimate aim is to develop artificial intelligence that ‘understands’ music in a manner analogous to human perception, enabling systems that can effectively assist people with a wide range of music-related tasks, from composition and analysis to discovery and education.
