I am a Master’s student at KAIST’s Music and Audio Computing Lab, where I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Juhan Nam. My research is dedicated to bridging the gap between machines and music.
My focus lies in two core areas:
-
Music Understanding with Large Language Models: Developing methods for LLMs to comprehend the structural, semantic, and emotional content of music.
-
Emotional Expression in Music Generation: Improving the emotional expressiveness of music generation systems to better align with human perception.
My ultimate aim is to develop artificial intelligence that ‘understands’ music in a manner analogous to human perception, enabling systems that can effectively assist people with a wide range of music-related tasks, from composition and analysis to discovery and education.
